• good splash of extra-virgin olive oil
• 1 garlic clove, sliced
• 2 anchovy fillets
• pinch of dried chili flakes (optional)
• 2 1/2 oz orecchiette/pasta of your choice
• 9 oz frozen broccoli
• pinch of salt

Like puttanesca, this is another of our favorite kitchen cabinet recipes: it is cheap, uses very few ingredients, and is even quicker to make than its tomato-based relative. We like to use orecchiette, as the bashed-up ears get nicely coated, but you can use any shape you like. Frozen broccoli is a wonderful thing: keep some in your freezer, always.
